TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm is the latest incarnation of the TPC course in Potomac, Maryland. The original course on this location was known as TPC Avenel and the local PGA Tour event for several years. But the pros were never fans of the course and it was decided to do a thorough redesign. $20 million was spent on the renovation that opened in 2009, based on a design that included input from Tom Fazio, Pete Dye, Fred Funk and Davis Love III. In 2010 the club hosted the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship. In 2012 the course was the site of a Nationwide Tour event.
