Waverly Woods, a public course in Howard County, is one of several in Maryland designed and/or renovated by famed golf course architect Arthur Hills.

Arthur Hills Designed Course in North-Central Howard County

Waverly Woods is one of the nice courses developed during the course-building boom of the late 1990's, some of which are no longer with us. But despite losing some of its charm when houses were built around it, this Arthur Hills design is still active and a good test of golf. It's a 7,024 yard challenge from the back tees but there are four other tee box options that play as short as 4,834 yards.

Tee times are available to the public for booking online up to three weeks in advance. Annual memberships and a "Players Pass" discount card are options for regular players. In addition to the 18-hole course, the club's golf facilities include a grass driving range, practice green and short game practice area.

Waverly Woods is located just east of the intersection of I-70 and US Route 40 about 18 miles west of downtown Baltimore. The course is located on the north side of I-70, while the Turf Valley Resort is on the south side of the highway. The club is surrounded by the single family and townhomes of Waverly Woods Village.
