Bensalem Township Country Club

Since first opening in 1960, the course now known as Bensalem Township Country Club has gone from being a private club to a semi-private club to a public course.

Public Golf Course Between Philadelphia and Trenton

Originally known as Cornwells Golf Club, then later as Bensalem Country Club, this public course northeast of Philadelphia became Bensalem Township Country Club in 2006. Golf course architect William Gordon, known for many excellent courses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, designed the 18-hole par 70 layout. There are four sets of tees with a maximum playing length of 6,200 yards. They consider their "signature hole" to be the very challenging 225 yard par 3 14th hole.

Going northeast on I-95 adjacent to the Delaware River, it's about a 17 mile drive from central Philadelphia to Bensalem and the golf course. The Street Road exit off I-95 is a mile southeast of the course. (Yes, it's really called "Street Road".) The Parx Casino and horse racing facility is two miles north of Bensalem Township Country Club.
