Great Hope Golf Course is in Somerset County, not far off Route 13 on the road that connects US 13 with the town of Crisfield. This Michael Hurdzan designed course is about 20 miles south of Salisbury and 10 miles west of Pocomoke City.
Somerset County's Public Daily-Fee Golf Course
Somerset County is at the southern end of Maryland's part of the Delmarva peninsula and Great Hope Golf Course is near the center of the county. The setting for the course is a mix of farmland, woodlands and marshlands. Architect Michael Hurdzan (probably best known as the designer of the Erin Hills course in Wisconsin) made the best of the location to create a layout that is both challenging and visually interesting.
Four sets of tees make the course playable by all levels of golfers, with the back tees set at a lengthy 7,047 yards. The "Skipjack Super Pass" is an affordable frequent players program that allows year-round play at discounted rates.

Great Hope Golf Course is in the middle of the triangle with corners at the towns of Princess Anne, Crisfield and Pocomoke City. Not exactly a major metropolitan area, so we're always glad to see the course is still alive and well. The course is on Crisfield Highway (Route 413), less than two miles off US Route 13. It's about 16 miles from here to the Maryland-Virginia border on Route 13.
