Bowie Golf Club is a public course located in Prince George's County, on Route 197 (Laurel-Bowie Road).
Public Golf on the East Side of DC
In addition to 18 holes of golf, Bowie Golf Club has a driving range where anyone can buy a bucket of balls to work out the kinks in that swing. A putting green is also available for warming up prior to your round. Big discounts are offered with the purchase of a monthly "Modern Membership" or an annual "Junior Pass" for golfers 15 and under. Anyone living within the Bowie city limits qualifies for even lower rates on memberships and daily fees.
From Farmland to Golf Course
This part of Prince George's County included a 600 acre horse farm that started in the 1700's. Over the years the property was divided into smaller farms, one of which was sold to the developers of what became Belair Golf & Country Club in 1959. After a new company took over management of the course in 1981, the name was changed to Bowie Golf Club in 1982. In 2021 the responsibility for managing the facility was transferred to Indigo Sports, a division of Troon Golf.
