Located a few miles east of Rockville, Norbeck CC is very much at the center of Montgomery County. The club's course opened in 1954 and is two first downs over 7,000 yards from the tips. When the weather isn't suitable for outdoor golf, Norbeck members have access to the indoor simulated variety in the Golf Lounge.

Other amenities include casual and "upscale" dining, swimming, tennis and a fitness center.

In Montgomery County Near Georgia Avenue

Although Norbeck Country Club says it's the "centerpiece of the Rockville community", that's using the US Postal Service's rather wide definition of "Rockville". The club is located about a mile west of Georgia Avenue and just north of the Intercounty Connector, so we'd say it's more like a southwest "suburb" of Olney. It's an eight mile drive from here to downtown Rockville. The DC Beltway (I-495) is 10 miles south at the intersection with Connecticut Avenue.
