Private Club North of Baltimore with an A.W. Tillinghast Course

Baltimore Country Club has two locations, with the club's two golf courses at their "Five Farms" campus in Lutherville. The original Roland Park location still operates a clubhouse and racquet sports facilities. The East Course at Five Farms opened in 1926 on a design by famed architect A.W. Tillinghast. It's been considered one of the top "classic" courses in the United States for almost 100 years.

The East Course has five sets of tees that play from 5,782 to 7,181 yards. The newer West Course, which opened in 1962, is a slightly more tame 6,795 yards from the back tees.

One Of The Original US Golf Clubs

Baltimore Country Club originated in 1898 at its Roland Park location on the north side of Baltimore and is considered one of the first 100 golf clubs in the country. The original course in Roland Park hosted the 1899 US Open golf championship. The club operated this course until selling the land in 1962.

BCC opened its Five Farms campus in Lutherville in 1926. The Tillinghast-designed East Course at Five Farms has been the site of the US Women's Open, the PGA Championship, the US Amateur and the Walker Cup. The second course at Five Farms, the West Course, opened in 1962 when the Roland Park course closed.

Balls can be expensive. There's nothing wrong with taking a few seconds to pull a ball or two out of one of those bleeping "penalty areas".
