Belle Haven Country Club

If you glance to your right just before crossing the Wilson Bridge going from Virginia to Maryland, you can get a peek at Belle Haven Country Club on the shores of the Potomac River. This Alexandria, Virginia private club opened in 1924. The current golf course was designed by Arthur Hills (it was preceded by a more modest 9-hole layout).

Belle Haven also offers access to tennis courts, platform tennis (you're not a real "old school" private club without platform tennis), fitness center, swimming pool and a big, beautiful clubhouse.
